A sad and well written episode of your life as a teenager when everything feels transitional yet has consequences for the future. You did well to write about it and to acknowledge the wrongs Spencer was subjected to. You are loyal and wanted to do the right thing. Growing pains.

Thank you for sharing so honestly. I see a world so different from my own and understand more than I did before hearing it from another point of view. I am glad you came out the other side.

Very well spoken and true. I had my own experience with LSD, although I was not told what it was when it was handed to me. One of the three friends I had in high school gave me a small square of tobacco rolling paper and said I should eat it. I thought she was giving me something that had been soaked in citric acid and unsweetened Kool-Aid (long story) so I did. Going home later on, I remember knocking on the front door to be let in then trying very hard to contain my shock and fascination/horror as Grandpa's face tried to melt off his skull. Not good.

Thank you for sharing this story. I love your perspective on this cycle, and you're right. The system is broken, and kids deserve better. They are just trying to figure out life like the rest of us. They are exposed to big consequences before they can grasp what they truly are. Glad you are well and hopefully, Spencer is doing well too.

Its so not fair to the kids! They should not be selling to juveniles. Good for you! We all seem to have been there back then…

And there but for the grace of god go I....yes, yes, yes. Blessings to Spencer, and all like him. "Thousands like him deserve better. And until we recognize that vengeance masquerading as justice helps no one, we'll keep sacrificing children like ritual offerings to a system that doesn't care if they live or die—it only cares if they comply." - Ouch & True.
